I do know the title on the picture differs from the deviation's title, it was deliberate!
I did not make miniatures in a long time and this was the first time in many months I was inspired.
I was inspired by Charlie Chaplin’s “Gold Rush” and “The Kid”, adding a couple of items I thought the Tramp might have liked to have on his menu.
Here you have:
-Top Left: a tasty shoe stew with sauce. The Tramp couldn’t resist taking a bite of the sole; sorry about that.
-Bottom left: a delicious rat in a crust with rusty lettuce, how delicious does that look!
-Bottom middle: a juicy shoe laces spaghetti with mothballs, with a loaf of barely rotten bread.
-Bottom right: a couple of delicious dancing potatoes to accompany this leftover fish terrine with corn condiment.
-Middle Right: a crunchy and crispy newspaper salad. It’s full of fibers; very nourishing!
-We also have drinks in the cans, it also served as the sauces; no waste tolerated!
Charlie has left his hat and cane there, and Jackie Coogan, -aka The Kid- has forgotten his cap; I wonder if they will return for them…
Every single item was made by me; nothing bought. I have no right over the pictures from “Gold Rush” and “The Kid” but I thought they would be a nice addition.
Material used;
-Sculpey III (and Fimo for the mothballs) -Translucent Liquid Sculpey -Chalk Pastels (to add some colors to the clay and to color the TLS) -2 micro beads (for the rat’s eyes) -Wood for the boxes -Paper for the newspaper salad -Acrylic paint (silver; for the cans)
The canes (carrots, radishes and lettuce) were all made by me. The hats and cane were also made of polymer clay.

I'm glad I was able to make it for the contest.
The kid is such a good movie; it's funny and sad and poignant. Love it.
