Edoras Pillars WIP #1

Some of you already know I love Lord of the Rings and some others know that I have been working on making doll costumes inspired by the movies'. I have been working on some Eowyn costumes, but I do not yet have the doll that will be her (waiting for it anxiously). So, since I want some kind of decor to shoot picture of the doll in her costumes when I have her, I had that CRAZY idea to make a couple of pillars we can see on top of Edoras' hill, in Rohan. Yes...crazy!

I did not work with knotworks in quite some time, but I managed to reproduce them quite nicely. Not 100% identical, but they are close enough to make me proud of my work.

Next step will be to carve all of the knots... Did I say it was a crazy idea yet? CRAZY! My hands are already protesting, lol. Oh well...

I do not know how much time it will take me to do those, but one thing for sure, I will be happy with myself once they are done and my doll will have a nice decor to pose in when she arrives! ^^
