Hello followers!
Some of you knows that I have troubles with my health for many years. Fibromyalgia and other troubles so I thought you would be happy to hear about this!
A few weeks ago, I read about micronutritions and how it affects people with fibromyalgia. Among those infos, I found that gluten was not so good for "us". So, I decided to cut gluten from my diet and cow milk also, for the same reason.
I truly have nothing to lose.
For many many years, I've had belly pain. Doctors kept telling me to drink more water, do more exercises and that it was because of fibromyalgia. To sum it up, they did not know what was causing those terrible belly aches.
For a little more than a week now, I cut all gluten from my nutrition.
Yesterday, as I was preparing to go to bed, I felt weird...strangely light, and I did not know why. Then, when I finally got in my bed and began to strategically place all of my pillows and cushion around me (I always do that to remove some pressure from my limbs and trying to reduce the pain) I understood what the feeling was.
My belly was not hurting!
For the first time in many many years, I went to bed without any kind of pain in my belly!
Can you imagine how it feels like? Not one single night in as long as I can remember did I go to bed without having cramps. It feels so strange...so...GOOD!
What pisses me off is that no doctor saw that I might have been intolerant to gluten since childhood, even slightly. Oh well...
I make my own gluten free bread (because the one at the market not only is expensive, but taste like cardboard, mine's good! ). Eat gluten free pasta, make DELICIOUS gluten free desserts! Oh yes! My brownies are just AMAZING! Better then the two bite brownies you get at the superstore!
Even if the gluten free diet does not help with the fibromyalgia, it is worth it because my belly does not hurt anymore!
I replaced cow milk with Almond milk. That has seemed to help as well. It is very good. I tried soy milk and...yerr...did not like it at all (and I had belly cramps afterward, so...).
I cannot believe the difference it is making. My gosh! If I had known, I would have done that long ago!
Hopefully, in a few weeks, I will see more benefits from that diet. Wish me luck!
I write this journal entry to not only share my joy, but to help people who might have felt the way I do and does not know what caused their discomfort.

Years later...
It's been forever since I've been here. Sorry about that. I did not fall off the face of the Earth! ;) My life has been...challenging lately. And not only because of the Covid crap going around. My body has decided to give me a harder time and has deteriorated quite a bit. My hands are hurting more and my legs as well. Covid did not help. No, I did not have the virus (knocks on wood), but having to stay on lockdown took a toll on my body. Being isolated from my loved ones is still quite the challenge. Have not seen my father in 16 months! Damn! I miss some other family members, and the rare friends I have. My hands are keeping me from making miniatures. I try to craft still, but I put miniatures aside for now. I still draw sometimes. In the past few months I have been drawing mandalas. For a while, I could draw one a day. I crochet a bit. I read a lot and play video games from time to time. On March 10th, I had to have surgery to my right foot. My toes were all crooked toward
Pattern Help...Please!?
Hello followers!
I know, it's been forever...
I also know that I've been working on a Barbie Kitchen, but then I wanted to have space for kids in that kitchen, so I made a high chair and so on so forth, I made more and more furniture for kids (a Kelly doll and a baby) and...well...ended up going for that kid bedroom thing. The kitchen will be continued as soon as the weather permits me to spray paint some of the pieces I need outside. For now...too cold...and wet.
I need help with something and maybe one of you can give me a hand. I need clothes for my Kelly girl and I was wondering if anyone had a sewing pattern to make her a nice wardrobe
Kayanah Miniature is BACK!
YES! I'm back to miniature making!
There is a context to my sudden come back.
My sister-in-law is in a choir and one of her fellow choir member owns a gift store in Montreal, which she is turning into a store where artisans from Quebec will be able to shine and show off their work. So, my sister-in-law told her about me and she showed the shop owner some of my stuff online. The very same day I was asked if I wanted to send her some of my items to sell in her store!
So now, I have a small space in her shop! I turned some of my miniatures into jewelry, because at first they were meant for doll houses and stuff like that. Some of these items
Crochet on Hiatus, so I paint
Hello Followers!
Yeah, I put the crochet thing on hiatus, for one very good reason. IT IS TOO HOT to work with yarn on my knees... I have a hard time coping with the heat so, so wool stuff is a no no for me these days. So I began painting...by accident really.
Let me explain:
My stepmother gave me some painting magazines and my mom took a look at them and found a painting she liked and wanted it, so I told her I would try to make something similar, but with the colors in her bedroom, and that's what I ended up making:
My mom likes it; I put it on a red cardboard canvas and it is now on one of her bedroom walls.
One of my friends saw it
